AVENGED SEVENFOLD’s Wall Projections Pop Up Worldwide: Halloween Stuff or New Album Teaser?

The band’s logo, the Deathbat, is mysteriously appearing in major world cities; fans wonder what’s going on

Avenged Sevenfold’s fans are confused (and exhilarated): the band’s iconic logo — the Deathbat — has been projected on the walls and roofs of various buildings and billboards all over the world, with no comment from the band so far. The only hint is that guitarist Zacky Vengeance has recently tweeted: “October is a reason to celebrate.”

The first messages with photos of A7X projections came from London and Toronto, followed soon by Berlin and other locations. “The #deathbat is hovering around London Town tonight. What is going on?”, wrote one fan.

“My bro in Toronto sent me this pic of the @avengedsevenfold Deathbat on the side of the @rogerscentre! Either Commisioner Gordon likes metal or something big is going on…”, posted another one via Instagram.

Fans wonder if it’s Avenged Sevenfold teasing something new, like a new album (isn’t it an awesome way to do it?) or just a Halloween riddle (too big for just a trick, don’t you find?). “A7X was broadcast across my balcony ….what does this mean people??? Halloween things?????”, one fan wrote under the logo snapshot.

Avenged Sevenfold teased some new music earlier this year, in April but since then they haven’t updated us on whether they are progressing with writing a new album. They played a few festivals this past summer and toured with Volbeat and Killswitch Engage. Their last album to date, Hail To The King, came out three years ago, in 2013.

If it is in fact the teaser of the new album, most probably the band chose to announce it officially on Halloween, so there are 24 more days left to go before we find out.
