Instead, this time we see not a chimp but Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump in the director’s chair

July 24, 2018

Raise your hands, who of you thinks ‘Thnks Fr Th Mmrs’ was one of the best and most entertaining Fall Out Boy’s music videos? Who remembers that monkey directing the band’s clip and yelling at the musicians for not doing it right? Exactly! All of you! So why not revive this concept, pondered FOB and dropped a new music video, sort of mirroring the old classic.

Fall Out Boy Bishops Knife TrickFall Out Boy’s new video for ‘Bishops Knife Trick’ reflects ‘Thnks Fr Th Mmrs’ in many ways. But instead of the chimp, we have furious and uncompromising Patrick Stump as a director and the band members on stage are not Pete Wentz and Co. but FOB’s favorite llamas.

The start of the clip is surprisingly similar. We even see Stump texting the same words the chimp typed in the earlier video: “Yo. This band is wack”.

Track ‘Bishops Knife Trick’ is taken off Fall Out Boy’s 2018 album M A N I A. In case you’d like to compare and refresh your memories of the video masterpiece ‘Thnks Fr Th Mmrs’, give yourself a throwback:
