Italian prima donna will be mentoring talents in the new season of The Voice of Italy

March 22, 2018

Yes, you haven’t misread it: Lacuna Coil’s metal diva Cristina Scabbia will be a coach in the new edition of The Voice of Italy! You can see Scabbia introduce herself and talk about her achievements in the video below (check out her clear Italian pronunciation!).

Scabbia’s colleagues on The Voice will be Al Bano, Francesco Renga, Costantino della Gherardesca and J-Ax. Besides, the singer is busy working on Lacuna Coil’s new album, which is currently the making. We wonder where she finds time for it all, but on top of that the metal goddess is readying to release her book, which will soon appear in the stores.

It seems to be turning into a trend to invite metal frontwomen to coach on The Voice shows around the world. Remember The Voice of Finland in 2014, where gorgeous Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish) judged local upcoming talents? Check out the compilation of best metal moments of The Voice featuring Tarja as a coach:
