The image we construct in our minds of musicians in their everyday life and relationship matters hardly ever reflects the true state of things. And the more famous and in-your-face the star is, the more distorted is our perception. The interview Manson agreed to give on January 6 in his gothic-looking Hollywood house, saw him talk openly on many intimate topics. From the rocker’s behavior in bed to weird sex habits to phobias, and more. What shock-rocker disclosed about his shy side came up as a true shock to his fans.
First of all, the musician admitted to not like getting totally naked during the sexual intercourse. He sets a condition that the lights must always be off and “no underwear shall be slipped farther down than his ankles”. Manson says, “I’m just really shy, despite what you’d imagine. I have a phobia that the house is going to catch fire, and I don’t want to be naked.”
Marilyn Manson also admits that he generally prefers not to get too intimate with his sexual partners:
“I don’t really like being intimate with people”, he continues. “I think maybe twice in my life have I taken a shower with a girl, and that was in the dark…”
All this doesn’t stop the 45-year-old Manson from having what he calls “sexual congress” at least 5 times a day, with 10 being the most recent maximum, as he told Rolling Stone.
The rocker is currently dating American photographer Lindsay Usich – another stunning-looking woman in his glittering relationship history, which includes striptease Dita Von Teese, actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Rose McGowan and the list goes on. The rocker doesn’t seem to be too shy when speculating about his own attractiveness. “I am flypaper for damaged women”, he concludes. Read the full in-depth interview here.
Marilyn Manson will release his ninth studio album, The Pale Emperor, on January 20. Watch the video for his first single from the new album, “Deep Six” below. The musician says that many of the new songs, including recently released “Third Day of a Seven Day Binge,” were recorded in one take without much refining to their sound. “It’s dirty,” says Manson, “like the dirt under my nails, like someone who has dug a grave.”
Manson will kick off his “Hell Not Hallelujah” tour the next day after the official album release. The record drops January 21 in Washington D.C.
