To say The Front Bottoms’ new video is extraordinary is to say nothing…

March 16, 2018

Every now and then, rock bands shoot odd videos, and we even expect this oddity from certain bands, like The Front Bottoms. But this time the New Jersey group has taken a step farther in quirkiness: the band has shared a really weird music video for ‘Tie Dye Dragon,’ the first track from their upcoming EP.

Don’t expect any action or plot in the video: instead you’ll be watching singer Brian Sella’s head on the table next to vegetables and eggs, as if it was some still life painting. To make it even more disturbing, his head is being massaged by some woman in disguise throughout the entire clip… We can only wonder what inspired the band or director Mark Jaworski to come up with such visuals.

If you found ‘Tie Dye Dragon’ fun to watch and ear-pleasing, you’ll be happy to know the song is part of the band’s upcoming EP, titled Ann, following 2014’s Rose EP. The new record contains five new tracks and is due for release May 18.

At the end of the spring, The Front Bottoms are off for a two-month North American headlining tour. The band’s set is organized in a curious way: Set No. 1 will include the Rose and Ann EPs, while the second part of the show will see their new album Going Grey live in its entirety and the most famous tracks from other records. See the full list of tour dates below.
