John O’Callaghan & Co. are “not sorry” to break everyone’s expectations in the new track

February 22, 2019

After dropping their first single from the upcoming record, ‘Numb Without You’, The Maine have decided to delight their fans with another one. The new track, ‘My Best Habit’, had been teased well via social media fans, and discusses how to stay true to yourself and not to feel sorry if the society expects you to be something else.

“My feet are mine to follow”, – claims singer John O’Callaghan in the new single, which is umcompromising from the first to the last line. He understands he might be a “a bitter little pill” but refuses to let others decide for him:

“I’m a bitter little pill to swallow
I’m a little bit of letdown, my
My feet are hard to follow
My best habit’s letting you down”

The lyrics go on to say that we risk becoming like everyone else if we let the world put labels on us and dictate us our next step:

“I’m not myself
And if I’m not me, then I am
Everyone else”
