Among other artists who have already canceled their shows are BTS, Green Day and Marilyn Manson

More and more artists are bound to cancel their shows because of the health concerns caused by coronavirus. Today Canadian singer Avril Lavigne and American rockers Set It Off announced their decision to call back the scheduled shows in Asia. Among the other performers who recently postponed or cancelled their spring tour dates are Green Day, BTS and Marilyn Manson.

Avril Lavigne confirmed cancelling her 12 upcoming shows in Asia. She had shows scheduled in China, Japan, the Philippines and Taiwan, all of which are now cancelled. In the social media, Lavigne admits she and her crew are «bummed out» but are bound to take this measure «due to the continuous outbreak of the coronavirus».

Read her Instagram post below:

«I am so sad to announce that we are unable to tour the Asian markets due to the continuous outbreak of the coronavirus. My band, crew and I have been working so hard to bring this tour worldwide and are completely bummed out. Please everybody take care of yourselves and stay healthy. You’re in my thoughts and prayers and we are hoping to announce rescheduled shows soon.»

As for Lavigne’s upcoming European tour dates of Head Above Water Tour in March and April, there has been no news of cancellation and all the dates you can see below are still valid.

«Due to unforeseen circumstances and for everyone’s safety, our Asia headlining shows & our shows with Jimmy Eat World will not be taking place this March. Were so sorry and will be doing our best to come back as soon as possible. Refunds will be made at the point of purchase».

Set It Off’s upcoming European dates remain unchanged.

The band has just finished their headlining tour with Capstan and is coming to Europe for another bunch of shows. Some of these concerts were postponed from Fall 2019 to March 2020 and will finally take place now. We’ll remind that back then Set It Off vocalist Cody Carson was undergoing vocal injury. European fans hope Set It Off will not reschedule their shows yet again.
