The newly formed AFI/No Doubt supergroup is currently readying for their very first tour this spring

April 3, 2017

It’s coming and coming sooner than you thought! Davey Havok-led all-star band Dreamcar has just announced their debut self-titled album. Dreamcar is a brand new project, comprised of AFI’s vocalist and No Doubt’s members Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young.

The spontaneously formed supergroup invited Havok to be their singer and recently dropped their first single, ‘Kill for Candy’. Today, they’ve also unveiled a music video for the song, which contains shaky, unstable visuals and very extravagant outfits — especially, Havok’s suit and his a bit disturbing black moustache… Give it a look below!

Talking about the song, AFI’s frontman said it is heavily influenced by the sound of the 80s and reveals an honest and unexpected side of Davey Havok, when it comes to lyrics:
«There’s an honesty in all of my lyrics. This one speaks to a perhaps dangerous and unhealthy desire for the sweet.»
Dreamcar debut record will hit the stores on May 12 via Columbia Records. The brand new outfit will also appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on April 18 to present ‘Kill for Candy’ live in the studio.

The musicians are now rehearsing for their very first tour, which will kick off April 5 in Santa Ana, CA (US). Today, Dreamcar have announced 7 more dates on their debut tour, so the trek will stretch to May 27 (see all tour dates below). The band is also booked to perform for Coachella festival this year.
