Passers-by on Pike Place Market in Seattle could hardly believe their eyes when they saw Dave Grohl busking…

April 22, 2019

A lot of musicians started their music path busking on the streets, and you pass them by almost every time walking down the cobbled streets of the Old Town or through the market rows. This past Saturday, on April 20, people of Seattle were walking as usual around Pike Place Market, paying little attention to street musicians when their jaws suddenly dropped…

They saw Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile with guitars in their hands… busking! Not surprising, numerous passers-by stopped to watch this unexplained phenomenon and filmed the renowned musicians with their phones.

In this first video below you’ll see Grohl acoustically playing the Foo Fighters’ ‘Times Like These’ off their 2002′ album, One by One.

Apparently, Pike Place Market in Seattle wasn’t a random choice of location for busking. As Carlile explained in the video, it was «right where it all started so many years ago» (via Loudwire). The busking video was streamed on Facebook Live, making hundreds of fans extremely jealous of those who witnessed Grohl in Seattle.

Carlile was excited to share her photos with Grohl on Instagram. The first one you see was taken at her house, where Grohl reportedly came for dinner. «I love it when Dave Grohl comes over for dinner and ATVs», she wrote. «You sir are welcome to live with me… please.» In another post, Carlile shared a pic of the busking experience just outside Pike Place Market, and wrote it was «one of the most surreal moments» of her life.
