Pop-punk idols 5 Seconds Of Summer have released their new music video for the track ‘Jet Black Heart’. The song is taken from the the Australian pop-punk band’s sophomore album, Sounds Good Feels Good.
5SOS dedicated this video clip to their fans, stating “We asked our fans to help make this video. We wanted to hear your stories. We were overwhelmed by the response. This video goes out to you” (via Billboard). The video is a moving piece with footage sent by fans after the band had asked their followers to help them make the video and tell their personal stories.
‘Jet Black Heart’, directed by Tom Van Schelven, is a mixture of clips featuring fans singing along to the song and the band performing. Bassist Calum Hood and guitarist Michael Clifford co-wrote the song with Evanescence ex-member David Hodges and Jon Green.
The band will give a performance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2016, which airs December 31 on ABC. At the dawn of the next year, in February, the group will hit the road with their Sounds Live Feels Live world tour, hitting most famous venues like Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena.
