The band say they start the day with “telling each other things that we don’t know about each other”

Pop-punk guys As It Is from Brighton are currently riveting their attention on recording the sophomore album in California, the follow-up to ‘Never Happy, Ever After’.
The record seems to have the potential to outdo the debut one, as the producer guiding the band this time is Mike Green, known for his work with a highly successful outfit, All Time Low.
In a recent interview with Punkvideosrock, the band’s frontman Patty Walters said the band’s goal was to make the new material as transparent and personal as they could. “We had to write about some darker and more personal things, like our upbringings and relationships with family,” he explained.
This new intimate environment also helped the musicians develop a deeper bond as a group. Guitarist Ben Langford-Biss said: “Before we write these songs about super personal stuff, it always starts with an hour conversation – telling each other things that we don’t know about each other.” See the full interview below.
This fall, As It Is will tour the UK with Against The Current and Beach Weather. Check out their tour itinerary below. Be the first to leave your comments, share the article, and stay tuned with Alterock Facebook and Twitter to never miss on the news about your favorite alternative music!
