When English three-piece Busted folded in 2005, following Charlie Simpson’s departure to pursue his solo project Fightstar, no one could imagine, even in their wildest dreams, that the band would reunite a decade later and create some new music. But not only are Matt Willis, Charlie Simpson and James Bourne back together, they have just unveiled a new song, ‘Coming Home’, and a lyric video for it.

The pop rock trio decided to introduce the new track via Twitter, dedicating it to their longtime loyal fans, without whom the comeback would have been impossible. Busted’s tweet reads, “We wrote #ComingHome just for you – the fans who have been with us since the beginning.” The band also wrote that they can’t wait to for their Pigs Can Fly tour to kick off.

Now, the dilemma is that the band’s longtime fans are used to a totally different sound from Busted. However, the band’s new song is miles away from the their signiture sound on earlier tracks. As a result, the opinions of fans vary a lot, with some of them expressing disappointment with Busted’s new direction. Meanwhile, ‘Coming Home’ seems to have lived up to theexpectations of many other fans. One noteworthy comment posted by a fan reads, “I wish I could tell my heartbroken 9 year old self that you guys were coming back and we’re going to be just as amazing.”

So let’s wait for the band’s upcoming third studio album and the following Pigs Can’t Fly UK tour.
