Gåte took us on a Scandinavian bloodthirsty fairy tale called ‘Ulveham’
Gåte represented Norway at Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with a fierce fairy-talish performance. She took us on a mysterious journey of ‘Ulveham’, which tells the story of a young maiden, who is transformed into a needle, a knife, a sword and eventually a bloodthirsty wolf by her evil stepmother.

The Swedish city of Malmö saw Gåte first perform in the second semi-final of Eurovision on Thursday, May 9. The singer placed 10th with 43 points, meaning the country has managed to qualify to the Grand Final for seven consecutive years. Unfortunately, in the final, Norway only took the last, 25th, place, having received 16 points.
Nevertheless, many Eurofans say they admired Gåte’s performance: from flawless vocals to stage presence to immersing Norwegian-forest visuals on Eurovision stage. See AlteRock’s exclusive photo gallery of Gåte’s performance below.
Eurovision 2024 glass microphone went to Swiss singer Nemo with the song ‘The Code’, which means Eurovision 2025 will be hosted in Switzerland. The host city is currently in discussion, scheduled to be decided by the end of August.
