Foo Fighters have revealed a new detail about their upcoming Concrete And Gold album
July 6, 2017
A short while ago, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl teased in an interview on BBC Radio 1 that their fans were to expect a big collaboration on the new record: “We have a bunch of guests on the album we haven’t told anybody about… But there is one who is probably the biggest pop star in the world, and I’m not kidding.” It appears now that it’s a Boyz II Men collaboration they were talking about.
NME reports that Foo Fighters’ new record, Concrete And Gold, will contain a song with Boyz II Men. When BBC 6 asked Grohl about the weirdest moment of recording the new album, the Foo frontman said: “The guy from Boyz II Men walking through the parking lot and me saying ‘Would you sing on our record?’ And he does—on the heaviest song on the entire record.”
Foo Fighters’ new, highly anticipated album Concrete And Gold is set for release on September 15. We’ve already had the first taste of the album when its debut single, ‘Run,’ came out. Haven’t you heard it yet? Then give it a listen below!
The band’s latest release to date, after 2014’s full-length Sonic Highways, was Saint Cecelia EP two years ago.
