Jack White has released two new songs, ‘Respect Commander’ and ‘Connected By Love’

January 10, 2018

After a flow of rumors and teasing the upcoming new material, Jack White is officially back, and not with one but two new tracks and an announcement of a forthcoming album! Be sure to listen to the new works, ‘Connected By Love’ and ‘Respect Commander’, below.

And the musician’s generousity in sharing new material doesn’t stop there. Along with the release of the philosophical track ‘Connected By Love’, White has also launched a music video for it. The scenes with children helping their sick relatives and people looking after the ones they love make the message of the song way stronger. Watch the music video:

The song was recorded in three different cities — New York City, Los Angeles and Nashville. It also stands out for its backing gospel vocals by Ann and Regina (via Alternative Press).

The two songs are featured on White’s third solo album Boarding House Reach, whose release date is yet to be revealed. The record has quite a competitor – the previous 2014’s album, Lazaretto, which can boast winning a Grammy for ‘Best Rock Performance’ with its title track and being nominated for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’.

The new songs, ‘Connected By Love’ and ‘Respect Commander’, are available now on a vinyl 7-inch via White’s own Third Man Records.
