September 26, 2018

If you still haven’t fallen in love with Mayday Parade’s ‘Piece of Your Heart’, the lead single from the band’s latest album Sunnyland, you absolutely will, after watching this new acoustic video. Vocalist Derek Sanders has shared the clip where he performs the unplugged rendition on the piano in the most heartfelt manner.

“This was us having some fun in the studio while recording Sunnyland. I thought it would be cool to try out the song on piano, I hope you guys like it!” Sanders comments on the cover. Be sure to watch the acoustic video below:

The band is gearing up for their extensive fall tour Welcome To Sunnyland. Over the following two months the band will be criss-crossing the US and Canada, supported by This Wild Life, William Ryan Key and Oh, Wearherly. Get your tickets here.

The original version of ‘Piece of Your Heart’ can be found on the band’s new album, Sunnyland. The record was released on June 15. If you haven’t watched the official music video for the single, check it out here.

The name of the new album, Sunnyland, in inspired by a memory of an abandoned hospital where Derek Sanders (vocals), Jeremy Lenzo (bass), Alex Garcia (guitar), Brooks Betts (guitar) and Jake Bundrick (drums) used to sneak in their curious teens.
