Long time no see! Five years after the release of their debut album, Dommin have returned with a new single, ‘Rise’, featured on the upcoming album of the same name. The new album was produced by Matt Squire (Panic! At The Disco, The Used, HIM) and mixed by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool).

Musicwise, Dommin promise to sound even more powerful than on their debut longplay Love Is Gone. “I don’t enjoy repeating myself creatively so this album offers fans another face of the band,” frontman Kristofer Dommin told Metal Hammer. “It’s more raw, more rock and higher energy. Lyrically it’s empowering and maybe a little pissed off – pain played a big role in the last record, this one is all about resolve.” The band’s new video ‘Rise’ is available exclusively for  the next 24 hours (watch below).

The band has also launched a related PledgeMusic campaign: “The hope is that on success, we can grow the Dommin Nation and get ourselves back on the road and on some festivals.” If you wish to see your band tour, you may contribute to the campaign here.

Dommin admit that their fans had been kept waiting for the new material for too long and admit they had to go through hard times over the last few years. “Sometimes when you get knocked down really hard, it takes a moment to get back up”, says the frontman. “There were powers outside and within that kept us tied up for a while, from legal issues to financial issues to plain old self-doubt. But we’re back on our feet and ready for round two.”
