At the end of the countdown Slipknot have given fans even more than they hoped for…
The masked musicians had been keeping us all in suspense. A few days ago they had even launched a new website www.wearenotyourkind.com, referencing the single they released at the end of last year. The website mysteriously directed fans from laptops to their mobile, just to show the date 8.9.2019 with no further cues. Most fans suspected it would be the release date of the new album.
And they were right. But Slipknot fans got more that they thought they would get. They received two major announcements at once.

News #1 is, yes, August 9 is exactly the day the band’s new studio album will be released. Corey Taylor and his masked mates haven’t given any further details yet. All we know by now is that the album is expected to feature All Out Life, as been revealed last Halloween.
And news #2 is that American fans will see Slipknot on tour this summer: the band is heading on the Knotfest Roadshow. They will be accompanied on the road by with Gojira, Behemoth and Volbeat. The rockers will play in 29 locations and they promise to deliver “a mind-altering collision of music, art and culture.”
The Roadshow will take off at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, on July 26. You can watch the festival’s heavy teaser below. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday, March 8. And if you head to Knotfest, there’s even a bigger treat. With every pair of tickets purchased online, fans will get a digital copy of the new Slipknot album!
We are really excited about the upcoming release, though some fans actually craved for at least a new single to be out already by the end of the teaser countdown (see a Slipknot fan’s post on VK below). But with more album details to be published soon, the band’s first album single might be just around the corner…
