From beating the skins to singing lead vocals and playing “nearly every instrument” –
Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has traveled quite a path. Hawkins has recorded a solo album where he not only did the vocal parts but also recorded himself playing various instruments.

Hawkins’ “mini-LP” is titled KOTA and is due out November 11. To get the first taste of what the album sounds like, Foo drummer has shared one of his new songs, ‘Range Rover Bitch’. Give it a listen below.

As to Foo Fighters, the band is currently on a hiatus, except the show they played a couple of weeks ago, October 19, as a special charity gig, along with members of KISS, Van Halen and Jane’s Addiction.

A few months ago producer Butch Vig (who did Nirvana’s legendary album Nevermind) hinted that frontman Dave Grohl might also busy himself with a solo project. Vig revealed that he and Grohl were going to collaborate later this year on the news songs Grohl has been writing.
