Alternative rock trio The Virginmarys from Macclesfield, England, who are currently working on their sophomore album, have given their fans the first bite of it. Listen to the band’s new track ‘Into Dust’ below.

The lyrics of the song focus on “the disillusion and boredom of everyday life”. “We feel that the track is a great bridge between King of Conflict and the new material we’ve recorded. It’s a perfect introduction for what’s to follow,” says the band (via Loudwire).

The Virginmarys’ forthcoming album, reportedly expected for release next year, is, in the band’s opinion, the best work they’ve ever done. The trio, however, has not shared official details of the upcoming release. The band’s previous studio record, Just a Ride, was called Album Of The Year at the Classic Rock awards in 2013, in addition to the award for Best Breakthrough.

The new track, ‘Into Dust’, is now available on iTunes. Check it out below, share your thoughts in the comments, and join Alterock Facebook and Twitter to always be in the know about your favorite rock bands!
