Australian alternative rock act Sick Puppies have officially introduced their new vocalist, Bryan Scott. In October 2014 ex-vocalist Shim Moore left the band and the results of the search for the new singer were unknown until last December when Sick Puppies shared a video teaser from the studio with the new vocalist. However, the name of the new singer was kept secret until this moment. Today the rockers revealed his identity exclusively via Loudwire.

The new voice of the band is Houston-based singer/guitarist Bryan Scott, who used to play with Glass Intrepid and Dev Electric. The current lineup of Sick Puppies looks like this: bassist Emma Anzai, drummer Mark Goodwin and singer/guitarist Bryan Scott. The band’s fourth studio album Connect was released on 16 July 2013.

“As soon as I found out about the lineup change, my gut feeling told me to reach out to Emma and Mark, and we clicked right away. I knew this was a shot that could change the course of my life so I flew out to L.A. to audition the next morning,” tells Scott. And the click was there right away – Anzai and Goodwin didn’t have any doubt after his audition: “Before we met Bryan in person, we knew he’d be a great fit. His audition of ‘Odd One’ and ‘You’re Going Down’ was on point and from there the music progressed naturally,”

The “renewed” trio has also launched a teaser of ‘Stick to Your Guns’ single, due out in March (check it out below). The new full-length album is expected later this spring. The band’s latest studio album to date, Connect, was released in July 2013.

Sick Puppies will perform at quite a few festivals this year, including 98Rock Fest, Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion and Rock on the Range. Watch the teaser below, share your thoughts in the comments, and join Alterock Facebook and Twitter to stay tuned for rock and metal news.
