June 29, 2017

Five long years have passed since The All-American Rejects released their latest album to date, Kids in the Street (2012), and we couldn’t be more excited that the band is back. Today, frontman Tyson Ritter has told Billboard about the material for the new album and shared a trailer for the music video for ‘Sweat’.

The trailer is intriguing and a bit disturbing, with what seems to be hilarious choreography from Michael Rooney. And as credits in the preview state, Tyson Ritter will play two roles, of Betsy and Robert (whoever those two are). Watch the trailer below!

‘Sweat’ will be featured on the next album of The All-American Rejects. Teasing this coming album began long ago, back in 2013, when Ritter released ‘Air’ to, quote, “tide fans over until the next AAR record”. But the record didn’t come out in the following four years.

Now that The All-American Rejects are finally readying their new full-length, they are open to experiment with the visual side of the album (via Billboard), which you can already feel in the trailer for ‘Sweat’:
”The last five years of learning my craft as an actor and really developing that side of being a visual artist in that way has made me realize how important that really is — to put the eyes to the ears,” explains Riter. “This is going to be more of a visual experience. This record is going to be about your eyes and the headphones,” teased Ritter.
Single ‘Sweat’ will come out together with another one, ‘Close Your Eyes’, on July 9. See intriguing preview for ‘Sweat’ below!
