Let’s put it short: it’s been three years, and it was worth the wait!
Asking Alexandria have just started a new era in their music. The band has announced their sixth album, titled Like A House On Fire, and we can say with all certainty, this is not Asking Alexandria 2017. This is Asking Alexandria 2020, and it’s on fire!
Danny Worsnop & Co. have just revealed that on May 15 we’ll hear their new album (via Sumerian Records) and shared a new song and video, ‘Antisocialist’. Musically, it’s extremely catchy and as alternative rock as it could possibly be. It reminds of the latest works by Fall Out Boy so much that we won’t be surprised if the two bands come up with a tour together in the future.
The song is dedicated to all “the frustrated, the forgotten, the unappreciated and the downtrodden”, says guitarist Ben Bruce. He explains in the official statement on the new album:

“Antisocialist is a song written for everyone who just wants to stick their middle fingers up high in the air and scream at the top of their lungs. It’s a song for the frustrated, the forgotten, the unappreciated and the downtrodden. It’s a song for those who work hard and receive nothing in return. It’s a song for those who dream hard and are laughed at. A song that says what we all feel from time to time and a song to just let loose to!”
“We all have someone in our lives we don’t like.
We all have people that hurt us or stress us out.
We all have bad days.
We all have tough months or years.
A boss that doesn’t treat us well.
A teacher that doesn’t care.
A friend of family member that’s scoffs and laughs at our dreams.

That day is today!
For everyone out there who needs to scream at the top of their lungs…..this is Antisocialist!”
The new album “filled with love and passion”
The guitarist reveals they’ve spent the last couple of years working on the album. And they are more than happy with the result:
“We are absolutely in love with what we have created. There are songs about triumph, strength and resilience. There are songs about losing love, losing passion and losing faith. There are songs about moving on to new things and songs celebrating our journey. This album is filled with love and passion from the five original members of Asking Alexandria.”
For Like A House On Fire the band teamed up again with producer Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, From First To Last), who knows the guys very well. Good previously produced Asking Alexandria’s self-titled album.
The band will be gearing up soon for the spring U.S. tour, kicking off April 30 in Phoenix. This will be Asking Alexandria’s first headlining tour in over two years, as AltPress reports. With them on tour you’ll see Falling In Reverse, Wage War and Hyro The Hero.
