There have been a lot of talks as for the possibility of Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba joining the official line-up of Blink-182 following since the time the band’s original guitarist, Tom DeLonge, parted ways with his band mates. Matt Skiba filled in on guitar and vocals for the band earlier this year quite a few times.

Finally, in a new interview with Billboard bassist Mark Hoppus announced that Skiba will be also working with the band in the studio this August. He stated:

In the meantime, Hoppus continues with Blink-182. He said the threesome — with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba replacing guitarist Tom DeLonge — will head back into the studio in August.
