Dave Grohl is invited to 2016 Academy Awards to give a special performance. Oscars ceremony will take place Feb 28 in Hollywood. The nature of Grohl’s performance is still unknown as Grohl has no apparent relation to any of the Oscar-nominated songs or films.
The presenters at the Academy Awards have recently been announced: the night will be hosted by Sacha Baron Cohen, better known as his movie character Borat, Morgan Freeman, John Legend, J.J. Abrams and Henry Cavill. Oscars will air on ABC at 8PM on Sunday, Feb. 28, so do not miss the show and Dave Grohl’s performance.
To other news from Dave Grohl and his bandmates, at the 58th Grammy Awards Foo Fighters unfortunately did not earn an award for any of the two nominations they had – Best Rock Performance for ‘Something for Nothing’ and Best Music Film for Sonic Highways.
But there are other big events Dave Grohl has recently been a part of. First, he paid homage to Lionel Richie at the MusiCares Person of the Year ceremony (watch the video below). Grohl also appeared with his Nirvana bandmates and Beck to play a David Bowie hit at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party.
