It’s certain now than your favorite nu-metallers are going to enter the studio soon, as they are currently writing stuff for the new record. Korn’s guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch said in a new interview that the new tracks are “heavier than anyone’s heard Korn in a long time.”

Korn last treated us to their new songs back in 2013, with their 11th album, The Paradigm Shift, so it’s just about time to start working on some new music. “We started writing a few weeks ago, and we have a bunch of ideas, so it’s really coming out quickly,” Welch told on Do You Know Jack? radio show, which you can check out in full below). “It’s pretty danged heavy. I mean, we’re really pleased with what’s going on. We just want everyone to be happy with the album… But, yeah, we’re gonna come out heavier than anyone’s heard Korn in a long time, I think”.

Korn will be on tour again starting October 1 for a series of U.S. shows, the salt of which will be playing their debut album in full, so be sure to catch them live soon.
