Following last year’s EP with Backstreet Boys cover, The Maine announced a covers album ft. Bieber’s song

Alternative rockers from Arizona, The Maine, whose last year’s EP, Covers (Side A), featured Backstreet Boys cover, have decided that the show must go on and announced a full album of covers entitled… wait for it… Covers (Side B). And the first single off the new album is going to be the cover for Justin Bieber’s hit ‘Love Yourself.’
“To beliebe or not to beliebe is not the question here because no one can deny the quality of Sir Justin’s tune,” frontman John O’Callaghan admits. “We haven’t fully converted to the church of Bieber just yet, but we decided to try our hand at covering this religious hymn.”
You will have an opportunity to appreciate The Maine’s interpretation of “this religious hymn” this Thursday at 8 PM EST on the band’s official website wearethemaine.net. The full record Covers (Side B) is due out June 24, but you can first give a listen to the band’s ‘Love Yourself’ rendition and see if you love it yourself.
The Maine’s previous full-length, a highly successful album ‘American Candy’, was released on March 31, 2015, followed by the tour with Real Friends, Knuckle Puck and The Technicolors.
