In addition, the band’s new single, ‘Happy Being Miserable’ is on the way, with a music video

Over the past week, New Found Glory had been puzzling their fans with cryptic teasers in the form of morse code messages on their Twitter page. Then the band deleted all these tweets and finally pinned a photo of them making a video for ‘Happy Being Miserable.’ So hold your breath because today the band has officially announced the release of their new album, titled Makes Me Sick!

The new record is due April 28 via Hopeless Records, but that’s not all there is. Jordan Pundik and co. are currently preparing to launch their new single, ‘Happy Being Miserable,’ scheduled for release on February 16.

Here’s what guitarist Chad Gilbert had to say about the album:

“Lyrically, this album looks at our culture and where we’re at—even in ourselves. We live in a place where people, ourselves included, spend so much time pointing the finger at others. They point at everything else they want to fix with the world, but they never really point at themselves.”

Gilbert continues by saying that Makes Me Sick is an unusual combination of their “most accountable lyrics” and “most fun music”:

“This album is more vulnerable, but it’s a different kind of vulnerability and honesty than our other records. Musically, we’ve found this sort of freedom because of our fans and their loyalty to us over the years. We use this juxtaposition between our most accountable lyrics and our most fun music.”

New Found Glory are currently on the road in the UK on A Day To Remember tour. Once the UK portion of shows is finished, the band will head to the US for a new row of gigs, starting March 22.
