Ash Costello is stating: “Nothing could stop us… New music is coming”

February 28, 2019

It’s just about time. New Years Day’s latest album to date came out in 2015, followed by only one single, ‘Skeletons’, last November.

Ash Costello & Co. have always been enthusiasts of social media when it comes to keeping their fans updated. But then, why not tease fans a bit before releasing highly anticipated new music?

The teasing started on February 27, when Costello added a new audio snippet to her personal Instagram with the caption “⛓3️⃣⛓ after all we’ve been thru… New music is coming.” (What a dramatic start!) See the post below:

And just a few hours ago another Instagram update arrived, assuring fans 100% that they’re about to hear some new material: “Nothing could stop us… New music is coming,” hints the singer.

The fragment we can hear in Instagram and Twitter of New Years Day saw fans wondering in the comments whether the band has entirely changed their music direction in favor of pop tunes. Here is what replied: “Wait and see. This record is a mix of catchy vocals and the most butthole-melting, ugly riffs you’ve ever heard from us.”

Since new music (and probably a whole album) is coming soon, it makes sense to catch the band live this spring and hear the new songs played live. New Years Day are currently gearing up to hit the road in April as support on Falling In Reverse’s headlining tour.

New Years Day’s last studio album, titled Malevolence, dropped in 2015.
