Industrial rock pillars Nine Inch Nails have confirmed they will return in 2016 with new music and ‘other stuff, too’

December 21, 2015

It’s been two and a half years since Nine Inch Nails released their most recent full-length album, Hesitation Marks. It’s about time NIN sat down and proceed to writing some new music, isn’t it? And we do have the news you’re craving for: NIN’s frontman Trent Reznor has confirmed the band will return in 2016.

Reznor took to Twitter to announce, “New NIN coming in 2016. Other stuff, too.” If by “new NIN” he means new music, then what does “other stuff” stand for? We’ll see in 2016, which is just around the corner.

Since the Hesitation Marks album release Reznor hasn’t been idle: he’s taken part in various projects and a year ago he was contacted by Apple and invited to work on Apple Music. Back then, when asked about NIN’s future, he said: “I would like to create more, in quicker intervals, rather than make an album, disappear for years, go on tour”. Reznor explained he prefered to spend more time with his wife and their two young sons, Lazarus Echo and Balthazar to leaving his family for the sake of another lengthy tour.
