OF MICE & MEN’S Austin Carlile was finally allowed to leave the hospital yesterday. The musician wrote yesterday in Twitter: “BAH! Just got woken up to take vitals/medicine, draw blood, refill ice pack in hospital for the LAST TIME, FINALLY!!! I get released today!” A few hours ago the band’s new tweet proudly showed Austin’s photo where the singer is standing next to his doctor.
Earlier this month, Of Mice & Men had to cancel the remaining dates of their headlining tour due to Carlile’s hospitalization. The singer suffered from complications, rooted in the genetic disorder Marfan Syndrome, which affects the body’s connective tissue.
The musician thanked his fans for their support last week, saying, “Thanks for being there for me. Waking up over and over in the middle of the night, or the nurses helping me pee, reading the tweets help.” He was then transferred to Stanford University for the supervision of specialists. Last Thursday, the vocalist underwent the final surgery and seems to be back on his feet now.
