ofmiceandmenOf Mice & Men’s vocalist Austin Carlile has already been through a lot this year, and he isn’t done with all necessary surgeries yet. According to the frontman’s new tweet, there’s more surgery planned – this time, on his hip and back. The information surfaced when one Of Mice & Men fan, following the band’s updates on Twitter, wrote about his intention to undergo a series heart surgery soon. The singer then replied that he himself was about to go under the knife again in order to fix his hip and back.

Judging by the singer’s hashtag in the post, the upcoming surgery is again related to Carlile’s Marfan Syndrome condition, which is known to affect the connective tissues in the body. Earlier this year, the vocalist had a piece of his rib removed. And this is not the only time the frontman has been hospitalized this year. At the end of the band’s spring tour he underwent multiple surgeries which had to do with the genetic disorder and Marfan Syndrome effects. In 2014 Austin Carlile revealed having issues with his neck in the past. He had hurt his neck and didn’t address the problem in time, so it got worse and led to his three-day hospitalization, including two nights in the ICU.

Of Mice & Men stopped touring earlier in the year in the light of Carlile’s surgeries and then later on cancelled all scheduled dates for this year to give the singer time for proper rehabilitation. The good news is, the band has already announced geing a part of several festivals in 2016. The guys are not wasting their time off the road and are actively writing material for their next record.
