Without Our Last Night’s screamed vocals it now feels that Taylor Swift’s #1 hit is incomplete
September 12, 2017
As if Taylor Swift’s latest single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ hasn’t taken the world by the storm, musicians from New Hampshire, Our Last Night, employed a modern metal approach to Swift’s current number one hit, and it’s going to blow you away!
It seems like screamed vocal parts and metal framing give Swift’s song that final touch and over-the-top energy that the pop track was lacking. Listening to Our Last Night’s cover version, it’s hard not to like Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’. But it’s not all about copying: their cover is a unique metalcore interpretation of the track, so hats off to the band. Give it a listen below!

Our Last Night are apparently getting more and more professional and expressive with every new cover, from Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’ to Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out’. Apart from recording covers, this time the band showed extra wit and recreated Taylor Swift’s album art for Reputation, which sees frontman Trevor Wentworth all stylish and glamorous.
As to the group’s own material, this past May the rockers released a new single, ‘Broken Lives’, followed by an EP, Selective Hearing, released June 9. But we hope Our Last Night will keep on entertaining us with hard-hitting metal versions of famous pop songs as well.
