‘Rammstein: Paris’ was shot over two nights, using 30 cameras, but it took Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund over a year to edit the materials and choose the best possible angles for every second of the concert film.
“That gives you a massive amount of footage,” Åkerlund explains. “This is a two-hour-twenty-minute show, and I take the footage and cut it with the same precision that I would a three- or four-minute music video. Even with a big crew of editors, it took us over a year to nail down the edit.”
The Hollywood Reporter reports that ‘Rammstein: Paris’ will screen in around 350 cinemas worldwide. Go to this location to check out which is the nearest cinema to you, screening the film.
The show you’ll get to see in the cinema on March 23 was shot in March 2012 in Paris during Rammstein’s Made In Germany tour, and was given for editing and finalizing to Åkerlund, a former member of Bathory, currently working on the film adaptation of Lords of Chaos. He had previously worked with Metallica, Satyricon, Madonna, The Prodigy and other famous musicians.
Rammstein’s last album to date came out as far back as 2009 (Liebe Ist Für Alle Da), so the band’s longtime army of fans are getting anxious to hear new material in the near future.

The only new music that frontman Till Lindemann shared since then was a 2015′ debut album of his side project Lindemann with Pain’s Peter Tagtgren. The same year Rammstein issued a 21st-anniversary box set, a career-spanning album collection titled XXI.
