Last month both Bedwetters and OLLIE made it to Top 3 in song contest Eesti Laul

Just one week after their commendable results in Estonian song contest Eesti Laul, the two Nordic powerhouses, OLLIE and Bedwetters, who landed #2 and #3, respectively, released a collaboration, titled ‘Death Row’. The song comes with a gothic-emo music video, picturing a teenager, introverted and lonely, feeling ignored and laughed at by his classmates.

The opening lines of the song go:

Stuck in myself and singing along
To a beautiful tune of feeling alone

The track fast-forwards the singers’ lives to when they’re «waiting out on death row», accentuating how little time we have to figure out who we are and face our real selves before it’s too late. ‘Death Row’ is about digging deep into yourself and trying to understand your current self, but realizing past experiences aren’t healed with time:

You won't even notice when I'm gone

There's something in the air and it's making me feel
That nothing from the past is supposed to heal

In the national song selection Eesti Laul, which took place on February 11, OLLIE became a runner-up with his infectious post-grunge song ‘Venom‘. This was OLLIE’s first performance on such a big stage as a solo rock artist, as previously he was a guitarist in various Estonian bands. Watch his hard-hitting perfomance in Eesti Laul final:

As for Bedwetters, they came third in Estonia’s competition for Eurovision 2023 with an anthemic punk-rock song ‘Monsters’. They were also undeniably the most visually entertaining act of the whole show, bringing on stage all kinds of characters, from a rocking priest to a monstrous pig. It’s the first time in the history of the contest that two rock acts made it to the top 3 and continued competing in the Super Final:
