December 1, 2015

It’s been a breakthrough year in every aspect for Saint Asonia, founded by former Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier and Staind guitarist Mike Mushok. The band’s star emerged in the skies at the beginning of this year, followed by a promptly recorded and released self-titled album. The record quickly made its way onto radio stations with the singles ‘Better Place’ and ‘Let Me Live My Life.’

The success the band has been enjoying throughout 2015 has translated into a stunning 40 per cent in the category Best New Artist based on Loudwire readers’ votes in 5th Loudwire Music Awards. The band’s main rival, Red Sun Rising, was almost as strong throughout the voting, having scored a little less than 35 per cent but the 5 per cent advantage made Saint Asonia the winner this year.

Adam Gontier’s former band Three Days Grace is also a Loudwire winner this year.  Last year his former colleagues took home the Best Rock Song award, this time – Loudwire readers voted for the band to carry the title Best Rock Band 2015.

Alterock congratulates the band and wishes it to keep rising next year! What do you wish Saint Asonia in 2016? Leave us your comments below and stay tuned with Alterock Facebook and Twitter to never miss on the news about your favorite alternative music!
