This is the band’s third single from the just-released new album, titled Wallflowers
Prepare to transcend to another world with a new single from the up-and-coming Ukrainian band Jinjer. The progressive metal group has just released their new album Wallflowers and its title track ‘Wallflower‘ just a couple of days earlier.
The new single comes with a mesmerizing music video, soft and touching at the beginning but fierce and brutal by the end. It’s not the first time we get to see a music video with guns, while the band members are playing their instruments, but it’s probably the first time it ends up with the vocalist shooting at her own bandmates, while they’re playing the song.

The 2009-formed spicy Ukrainian band (spicy because “Jinjer” stands for “ginger”) consists of charismatic Tatiana “Tati” Shmailyuk on the mic, Roman Ibramkhalilov on the guitar, Eugene Abdukhanov on the bass and Vladislav “Vladi” Ulasevich in charge of the drums. The new single ‘Wallflower’ does its best at showcasing Tatiana Shmayluk’s clean vocals, eventually turning into powerful growls and screams, as the mood of the song gets gloomier.
The new album Wallflowers is out August 27th via Napalm Records. Last year, even at the times of COVID-19 lockdown, the band didn’t rest on the laurels and launched their DVD and CD, titled Alive In Melbourne.
Jinjer head out on tour this fall with Suicide Silence and All Hail The Yeti. The concert dates are listed below, with tickets available here.
