The toxicology report on Scott Weiland’s death cause has been issued, according to TMZ and Loudwire. The results demonstrate Weiland died from an overdose of cocaine, MDA (ecstasy) plus alcohol.

As you probably read a few days ago, various substances were found earlier on Weiland’s tour bus the night he died, including cocaine, Xanax, sleeping pills, Viagra, Buprenorphine (a synthetic opiate painkiller) and Ziprasidone (medicine prescribed for people with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia). Despite the fact ecstasy was not found on the bus, it was one of the substances the singer took that day, which in combination with cocaine and alcohol caused his death.

Hennepin County Medical Examiner also names Scott Weiland’s heart problems and asthma as “significant” though not immediate factors which led to his death, alongside his longtime multi-substance dependence.

Scott Weiland’s death was reported on December 3 in Minnesota, where he was found unresponsive in the back of the tour bus.
