It seems like the guys from Weezer certainly favor summertime. The band started of 2017 with a single ‘The Last Days Of Summer’ from the reissue of The White Album. In case you’ve missed it, head to this location.
The highly anticipated, yet-to-be-titled album will be the band’s eleventh studio effort. It follows their latest record, The White Album, pretty closely — it was only released in April 2016. The new album’s title will supposedly be the absolute opposite to The White Album – The Black Album. Frontman Rivers Cuomo explains they have various reasons why call it “Black”:
“What could stand out more against ‘White’ than ‘Black’? I think it’s going to maybe be like Beach Boys gone bad,” he contemplates.
Moreover, its lyrics might will most probably include a few swear words. “I’m thinking of swearing, which is something I’ve never done in songs,” says Cuomo, promising to turn to “more mature topics. He even goes as far as to say, “If it were a movie in the United States it would be rated R instead of PG.”
Weezer have announced a UK/European tour. For tickets head to the band’s official website. Is the band going to perform close to where you live? Have a look! The list of tour dates and locations can be seen in the band’s Twitter post below.
