The recent deluxe reissue of their latest album features a rare song ‘The Last Days Of Summer’

Weezer have recently put out a deluxe reissue of their latest LP, The White Album, which includes a few additional tracks, featuring a previously unheard fan club single ‘The Last Days Of Summer’. Give it a listen below.

The deluxe reissue also features three bonus tracks plus a remix in cooperation with members of Pussy Riot and Fitz and the Tantrums.

One of the bonus tracks on The White Album reissue is also ‘Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter’. We heard that song in October last year, and now it’s landed on the album as well.

Weezer aren’t far away from recording their new longplay, reports NME. And as many of you predicted, the new album’s title would be the absolute opposite to The White Album – The Black Album. Frontman Rivers Cuomo explains they have various reasons why call it “Black”: “What could stand out more against ‘White’ than ‘Black’? I think it’s going to maybe be like Beach Boys gone bad,” he contemplates.

Moreover, its lyrics might will most probably include a few swear words. “I’m thinking of swearing, which is something I’ve never done in songs,” says Cuomo, promising to turn to “more mature topics. He even goes as far as to say, “If it were a movie in the United States it would be rated R instead of PG.”

Would you like Weezer to develop in their “white” direction or are you excited to hear their darker, “black” sound? Share your thoughts in the comments, and join AlteRock Facebook and Twitter to stay tuned for rock and metal news.
