New Years Day’s red-and-black-haired diva Ash Costello doesn’t like labeled as “too soft”, so today she managed to prove doubting fans wrong. Following the softer singles ‘Skeletons’ and ‘Shut Up’ from the upcoming album, NYD have just released a really dark, hard-hitting new track ‘Come For Me’.
If you flicked through your social media yesterday, you couldn’t have missed a captivating teaser from Costello, hinting at new intense stuff coming up. The teaser was a snippet of ‘Come For Me’ along with the singer’s photo of her covered in blood.

As AltPress has pointed out, Costello couldn’t wait to share her heavy, “crazy side” to fans and now that the new headbanger is out, she’s asking fans: “This heavy enough for ya ????”
“You guys asked for heavy, I told you to be patient. This heavy enough for ya ???? And you were all worried we left out the face melting heavy rifts on this album, never EVER doubt us again,” she says.
The band calls the new track a “fight song” and talking about its message on Twitter, explains that ‘Come For Me’ is “a call to rally everyone who wants to get together and stand against anyone and everyone who’s got something negative to say.” Hear the riff-filled song below:
‘Come For Me’ is featured on New Years Day’s upcoming album Unbreakable, which will be out April 26. The previous two new singles from the band were ‘Skeletons’ and recorded-in-one-day ‘Shut Up’. If you haven’t heard them yet, give them a listen below and get surprised by the contrast.
