Today, Matt Good, who reportedly produces the record, published an Instagram post leaving no doubts that the band has officially started the recording process. The post reads:
“So stoked to use all these beautiful babies for Asking Alexandria drum tracking tomorrow. Day 1 of who knows ? Maybe James just kills the whole record first day!? Lol”
Stoff replaced Worsnop between 2015-2017 and his vocals landed on their latest album, The Black. But the current singer doesn’t like the term “replaced”, when asked about Denis:
“Replace is a strong word. He was just keeping my seat warm.” The current singer adds, though, that he isn’t the one to be asked about Stoff as a person: “Honestly, I don’t know the kid so I have no opinion of him as a person…”, he explains. “I met the kid one time on a tour in Russia, and he got a picture with me outside a hotel. That’s the extent of my knowledge of him.”
Not much is known about the reasons of Asking Alexandria’s recent split with Denis Stoff. The only comment Worsnop offered on that was: “Whatever happened with Asking Alexandria and Denis Shaforostov is between them, and for them to tell.”
