Dance Gavin Dance have dropped a new single from their upcoming album, Mothership, – the song titled ‘Betrayed By The Game’, along with an eye-stopper music video. And you know what? This might be the band’s most confusing yet the most arresting video so far.

The clip opens with quality eye-candy visuals of a vintage dream bakery with striped pink walls, where visitors drop by to enjoy a donut or a croissant. The first half of the video will probably leave you with a feeling that you’re being fed yet another TV commercial, wondering what Dance Gavin Dance have got to do with it.

But just like the title ‘Betrayed By The Game’ suggests, what looks like heaven turns out to be hell for everyone in the bakery scene. Poisoned with the disgusting green stuffing inside the pastry, which the customers rub all over their faces and even into their hair (!), they fall prey to satisfying their sweet tooth.

Tilian Pearson, Jon Mess and their band mates have done their best to keep us glued to the screen throughout the whole music video, so be sure to give it a look below. Share your thoughts in the comments, and join Alterock Facebook and Twitter to stay tuned for rock and metal news.

The band’s new album, Mothership, is due out October 7 via Rise Records, with pre-orders on sale now. The first single released from Mothership was ‘Chucky vs. The Giant Tortoise.’
