August 31, 2015
The fuss around Fall Out Boy’s latest music video ‘Uma Thurman’ has led to the band winning the Moonman at the 2015 MTV VMA in the category Best Rock Video. The band has beaten Hozier, Florence + The Machine, Walk The Moon and Arctic Monkeys, who had also hoped to receive the award.
‘Uma Thurman’ is featured on the band’s latest LP, American Beauty/American Psycho, released at the beginning of 2015. The album immediately skyrocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and sold more than 218,000 total units in just one week. ‘Uma Thurman’ video clip also features appearances by Big Sean, Brendon Urie, Action Bronson and other stars.
While Fall Out Boy got their award in the video category at VMAs, the Song Of The Summer title went to their good friends, pop-punk guys from 5 Seconds Of Summer for their latest single ‘She’s Kinda Hot’. Why good friends? Well, if you haven’t heard yet, Fall Out Boy have recently revealed that their collaboration with 5 Seconds Of Summer has already been discussed for a while and will take place”eventually.”
