MAYDAY PARADE Bring ‘Black Cat’ To Life with New Superstitious Music Video

The band has also announced A Lesson In Romantics: Anniversary Edition to celebrate their debut album

January 27, 2017

Mayday Parade’s debut album, A Lesson In Romantics, came out in July 2007, and the band is already preparing a big celebration of their first record. To begin with, the Florida-based outfit has released a new music video for the successful track from their debut album – ‘Black Cat’, which they had been teasing on social media over the past week.

Alterock-mayday_parade_-_black_catThe video revolves around superstitions and bad luck signs the singer Derek Sanders bumps into, wherever he goes – a bit like Stephen King’s horror ‘1408’ but way lighter. Moreover, the scenes with the black cat are so sweet that all you can say is “Aww!” Sounds too girly? Watch it below yourself and leave your comments!

The band’s second news is that they’ll release an Anniversary Edition of the record A Lesson In Romantics. It’ll hit web stores on March 17 and feature six previously unreleased demos and one new song. The band also launched a special website honoring A Lesson In Romantics.

Mayday Parade will embark on a 10-year anniversary tour for their debut album at the end of March. They’ll grab Knuckle Puck and Milestones to support them on this two-month row of shows. See the full tour itinerary below.
