BMTH and Fish seem to have parted ways smoothly and wish each other “every success”
Bring Me The Horizon have chosen to part ways with their longtime keyboardist and percussionist Jordan Fish. It’s definitely the end of an era in the band’s line-up, as Fish joined the band over a decade ago, in 2012. BMTH dropped the news on X, where they thanked the keyboardist for his 11 years of contribution.
The generic post from the group on Fish’s departure goes:

Despite the cliche “goodbye” on social media, it looks like there won’t be much drama around Fish’s leaving. The musician replied to the band’s post with warm wishes and said he will be following Bring Me The Horizon career:
“I’m really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together,” Fish posted on X (ex-Twitter). “I look forward to hearing what they do next, and wish them every success in the future. I’m excited to start this next chapter in my career.”
It now appears clearer what delayed the release of the long-awaited EP, POST HUMAN: Nex Gen over the past few months. Until recently the band has been putting off the launch of the record due to “unforeseen circumstances”. The X post addressing Fish’s departure wraps up by saying: “Meanwhile we continue to work on Nex Gen, with brand new music coming very soon.” The band apparently needed to handle parting ways with their longtime mate before progressing with the new record.
It looks like soon we’ll be hearing more music from Oli Sykes & Co, and knowing Fish’s creativity, we can expect hearing from him again in the observable future.
However, it wasn’t the happiest Christmas news for thousands of BMTH fans. “This is the worst christmas gift ever,” commented their listener Pedro Vieira. “Sorry but this statement just isn’t good enough”, adds caitlyn. “Does that mean he got fired?”, asks another user. So let’s stay all ears to learn more about the reasons of Fish’s departure in the coming days.
In the meantime, all the best of success to the talented musician! Stay tuned with us on AlteRock Facebook and AlteRock Twitter!
