The band has dropped Live From Spotify London EP today, and you can now stream the full record

Coldplay’s new five-track EP, titled Live From Spotify London, has hit the stores today, and you can now stream all the tracks from it via Spotify. The record captures the band’s intimate performance at Spotify’s London headquarters, which took place last month.
The EP’s song tracklist includes stripped-down versions ‘Everglow’, ‘Yellow’, ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’, ‘Viva La Vida’ and ‘Christmas Lights’, first released in 2010. But two days ago the band added another Christmas-themed song to their collection: wrapping up their Australian stadium tour in Sydney on December 14, Chris Martin surprised the crowd with his new acoustic song about Christmas in Australia, titled ‘Christmas With The Kangaroos’.
It looks like it didn’t take the singer too long to come up with the lines such as:
“Christmas here is much more fun, we got surf and we got sun. Christmas here sweet as a peach, opening presents on the beach.”
But its simplicity worked in favor of the band, as the whole audience was able to sing the words along by the end of the song. Check it out and pay close attention to the lyrics, featuring crocodile Dundee, booze, kangaroos and even Kylie Minogue!
To other recent news from Coldplay, the group has taken home the award in the category ‘British Artist Of The Year’ from the BBC Music Awards this week, beating legendary David Bowie. This controversial victory left a lot of viewers outraged, which resulted in hot debates on the award in social media.
It goes without saying that Coldplay felt honored to win the British Artist Of The Year statuette. Especially taking into account that Bowie once turned down Coldplay’s offer to collaborate with them… in a very hurtful form. All vocalist Chris Martin got from Bowie in response to his letter was “It’s not a very good song, is it?” (via NME).
