The 1975 had invited their fans who have a partner to take part in the making of the music video
As the Valentine’s Day is nearing, The 1975 chose the best possible time to premier their new music video for ‘Me & You Together Song’. The song itself came out in the middle of January along with the announcement of the band’s upcoming North American tour.
Remember when the 1975’s label Dirty Hit was asking couples to submit their photos to star in some upcoming music video. The song in question was kept secret for a long time, but it wasn’t hard to guess it would be ‘Me & You Together Song’ on the agenda.

The music clip shows several rooms where people are depicted meeting their half on the dance floor or having a crush and the first kiss secretly in their bedroom. The 1975 chose the couples among their fans to perfectly reflect the lyrics of the song:
“I’ve been in love with her for ages
And I can’t seem to get it right
I fell in love with her in stages, my whole life”
The song will be featured on The 1975’s upcoming album, Notes On A Conditional Form. The record was re-scheduled from the original date February 21 to April 24, as the musicians needed more to finish it. Watch the Valentine’s Day-themed music video below:
