THRICE Announce: Hiatus Is Over!

Alternative rockers THRICE have announced that the band’s break is over and confirmed playing large festivals this year

thriceThe band has been on hiatus since 2012 but the guys will be back on stage soon. “Thrice never disbanded, I tried to be super clear about it, like this is an actual hiatus,” said Thrice frontman Dustin Kensrue on the latest #63 episode of the BadChristian Podcast, launched on February 22, 2015. “We’re gonna’ be—at the least—playing some shows this year.” Several festivals have already been confirmed to feature Thrice’s performance: New Jersey’s Skate and Surf Fest in May, Quebec’s Amnesia Rockfest in June, and Folkestone, UK’s Hevy Music Festival in August.

In the podcast Thrice frontman also talks about his upcoming solo record, Carry The Fire, which comes out on April 21st, and his resignation from Christian church Mars Hill. Thrice’s latest full-length album, Major/Minor, was released in 2011, followed by a live album in 2012, titled Anthology. During the lengthy hiatus Thrice’s bassist Eddie Breckenridge joined the alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves in June of 2014, which also features members of Blink-182, Nine Inch Nails and Hazen Street.
