Watch Deftones rock the Jimmy Kimmel Live! with an open-air show

Last night, April 12, Deftones landed on the stage of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! where they performed seven songs for the outdoor audience. The show set included ‘Prayers/Triangles’, which aired during the show, and ‘Hearts/Wires’, posted as a bonus performance on Kimmel’s YouTube channel. You can watch both performances below.

While off the air of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the band also played ‘Rubicon,’ ‘Diamond Eyes,’ ‘Tempest,’ ‘Swerve City’ and ‘Rocket Skates’ for the fans.
Deftones are currently supporting their eighth album, Gore, which only dropped last week, April 8. The record has already won the critics’ favor and seems to be equally welcomed among fans. Deftones’ guitarist Stephen Carpenter admitted to Rolling Stone that for him ‘Hearts/ Wires’ was one of the hardest songs to play on. “That song made me think of Wild Bill the whole time – psycho killer and shit,” he explained. “I just didn’t feel it. I had to embrace my inner psycho rapist and come up with the part and get into it.”
Deftones will jump back on the road on May 8 for another run of shows in the US, booked till mid June. The group will aslo appear at a number of festivals, including London’s Wembley Arena on June 3. Wembley Arena concert was initially scheduled for 2015 but got postponed in the light of Paris attacks last November. The band will then head straight to Download Festival 2016.
